Zojuist (08/10) om 12.50 uur LT een C17 erg laag over Venray. Iemand enig idee welke dit is?

Are you sure it was a C-17, not an Il-76? Although I've seen no report yet of an Il-76 at Eindhoven, 1300lt on Thursdays is a time and day-of-the-week that Eindhoven almost weekly receives an Il-76 of Aviacon Zitotrans... (Incredibly, I've seen Il-76's mistaken for C-17's [and vice versa] more than once, so, no insult intended ).

Well you can do something very simple to notice the difference between these 2


A. Does it smoke (then it's an IL76
B. It doesn't smoke (C-17)

I did see a white Il-76 with green Uzbekistan markings on Geilenkirchen around noon. Don't know the exact time though!

It was definitely a C17. It was flying very low. I made a picture of it. I am now still
at work, but maybe I will post the picture here tonight when I am still in the mood.

Also seen above Noord-Limburg about 20 km's from Venray heading south or south-east.

There's no report at EWAS of a military P.180 at Eindhoven. However, in the Eindhoven forum here at Scramble you can see that a civil P.180 was expected today; maybe that one arrived a little later than originally planned.

Looking at SBS-1 log it could very well be RCH3113 (03-3113)..

Word ik nou gek of zag ik om 16.00h een groene NH-90 (Duitse ?) vliegen boven t land van Heusden en Altena .
Was op weg naar huis en dacht een Cougar te zien dagelijkse kost hier maar toen hij dichterbij kwam was t zeker geen Cougar.
Misschien oefening Phoenix Challenge of een fata banana.
Geen SBS of scanner aan en niks te zien op t Gilze forum.
Dus ?????

Op De Peel zijn naast Chinooks (2x). Cougars (2x), Bo-105's (2x) en Apaches (4x) geen andere heli's geweest.
