LAVEX 2009
Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Interestingly, the pilot on the right is sporting a Mirage F.1CR badge from French AF's ER02.033 "Savoie" ...
(rumours that the pilot on the left flies with the Netherlands -"Orange"- Air Force are unfounded )

I see this one hasn't appeared yet, LAAF-722 in much better condition than two years ago, though still without the finishing touches.
can't resist to put this lousy quality one on the board too.

Re: LAVEX 2009
Can anyone who visited this amazing event please email me any jpeg images of the BAC 1-11s present at Mitiga please.
It would be much appreciated as I run the BAC 1-11 website and forum at Yahoo Groups. As these are no doubt going to be some of the last images of active 1-11s, I would dearly love to add them to my image archive! Four 1-11s in the same place is unlikely to happen again! Thanks must go to Tombouctou Aviation for bringing all their fleet to the event. Can anyone also confirm that one of their three 1-11s, TZ-BSB, was actually in storage at Mitiga?
If anyone has any more 1-11 images, I would be very pleased to hear from you.
Best Regards
Peter

Re: LAVEX 2009
I've send you the pictures of the TZ-BSA and TZ-BSC. Also the 5A-DKO was seen when we did the bustour around the airfield. Don't know anything about an fourth BAC1-11. Anyone else ?
Re: LAVEX 2009
Seen this picture at airlinefan.com: http://www.airlinefan.com/airline-photo ... 00/TZ-BSB/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; probably taken during LAVEX 2009.
This plane was not visible for us from the static part (only a couple of tails visible behind some hills).
Also not visible from the bustour around the airfield.
So there were 4 BAC1-11's present !
