Re: Older civ collection
There are no words to descibe the greatness of this shot.
I am speechless.

Re: Older civ collection
Wonderful shots guys.
And what a perfect quality of scans you have, keeping in mind they are all 35 years old already!!.
Upload them on - for example- Jetphotos.net and the views will be countless.........
Keep them coming

Really great scans again.
Meanwhile I have scanned some other civil (and mil. as well) stuff from the early seventies, will edit them soon.
Though some labour, but seeing my old material again: that's is really fun!
Re: Older civ collection
Rob,
It sure is a lot of work. It seems when I scan Kodachromes, because ICE (dust removal) doesn't work on that film type, I spend a lot of time blowing the slide clean and then removing the residual dust in Photogshop. When scanning B&W negs, because once again ICE doesn't work, I spend time removing dust and also scratches.
But right now I have the time for it, so why not? It is enjoyable seeing the old images come back to life. Other people enjoy seeing them also, and sharing them here is a nice experience.
Freek,
About 12 years ago I had 4,000 pictures on Airliners.net., I had them all removed about 7 years ago. It was best for me to say that I was not compatable with that type of website, and for me to go on to other things, which I have done.

I also enjoyed photographing the small airliners, such as the commuter jobs. The Twin Otter was a big success in my part of the USA, although it wasn't designed for the 10,000 ft. runways that were at both ends of most of its flights

Re: Older civ collection
Great stuff, RobertS. I didn't realize the LET 410 had been around that long. Interesting glazing on the nose. Safe to assume it is not a bombardier's position...? The black line on the fuselage opposite the props, is that to make it easier to detect prop leaks, or to make them less visible?
