From MSF:
Israeli T-6A N8011N / 470 departed at 0945L. The other T-6A accompanying had already departed when my contact arrived.

Message was from saturday so they've also left.

IDF T-6s possibly due Ostend 11 Nov 09

Post by raameagle »

Following on from the message on Scramble Intelligence Service, can somebody try and check the construction numbers if the IDF T-6s turn up please? The plates are on the rear of the fuselage, port side.

Regards and thanks

All Texans are currently enroute to Iqaluit from Goose Bay. Nice picture though of one of them at Goose Bay:
Image
Judging from the picture weather could have been an issue that prevented them from flying yesterday.

CFB Goose Bay (Goose Bay) - Iqaluit (CYYR-CYFB)
HKB122 En Route Tue 11:15AM UTC Tue 02:05PM UTC Hawker Beechcraft Corporation Raytheon Texan 2
HKB178 En Route Tue 10:47AM UTC Tue 01:38PM UTC Hawker Beechcraft Corporation Raytheon Texan 2
HKB181 En Route Tue 10:36AM UTC Tue 01:26PM UTC Hawker Beechcraft Corporation Raytheon Texan 2
HKB280 En Route Tue 10:15AM UTC Tue 01:04PM UTC Hawker Beechcraft Corporation Raytheon Texan 2

So they can no longer be expected on Wednesday 11th if they still have to travel at least 4 legs (CA- Greenland - Iceland - Scotland - Europe). If they can continue, my bets are on Thursday and not earlier. Can someone confirm this from the system at Oostende?

Thanks
Jeroen

Were are the T-6 currently?

I have:
HKB280 -
10 nov Iqaluit (dep 01:43PM UTC) to Sondre Stromfjord, to Reykjavik
11 nov Reykjavik - Wick - Oostende (nightstop)
HKB178 -
10 nov Iqaluit ([delayed] dep 02:49PM UTC) to Sondre Stromfjord, (lost track) to Reykjavik or night stop Sondre Stromfjord?
11 nov ????
HKB181 -
10 nov Iqaluit ([heavy delayed] dep 06:30PM UTC) to Sondre Stromfjord (nightstop?)
11 nov Sondre Stromfjord to Reykjavik (and nighstop wick?)
HKB122 -
10 nov Iqaluit ([heavy delayed] dep 07:14PM UTC) to Sondre Stromfjord (nightstop?)
11 nov Sondre Stromfjord to Reykjavik (and nighstop wick?)

I don't think the last two will make it to Oostende this evening, but what about HKB178?

I've been told their flying time from Wick to Oostend is about 2 to 2,5 hours, so they can make it late morning and continue in the afternoon. But that's just my gues, don't have any further info yet.

Would be nice though if they remain for the weekend ;-)

Did the T-6s arrived today or are they still at Wick?

i just got back from EBOS, and i didnt see any T-6's (arround 10.00) so i guess they didnt arrive yet or already left, by the time i left (arround 12.25) there was still no sign of any T-6's, only a Royal Netherlands Navy SH14D Lynx helicopter landed right after i left (wasnt able to read the serial, sorry).

Two T-6s were due into Ostend today and then onto Bergamo but they seem to have cancelled!

If anyone sees them at Ostend over the next day or two, please try to confirm the construction numbers.

Regards
