@ Horror; ik heb hem pas geleden weer eens uit het vet getrokken en het was wat onwennig maar na enige toestellen ging het weer lekker.

Koksijde, August 3 1985, during a drive around the airfield after the show:
From left to right Jacco van de Weerd, Dimitri Schmidt, Jan van Waarde, Chris Schmidt.
Typical: shortly after this shot was taken, Dimitri hopped over the fence to take a close look at the two C-119s which were parked on the field those days. Only a few minutes later he was brought back by two very young but heavily armed Belgian soldiers !
Next month, it was two years ago... Need I say more?
Mazzels,
Rob

Rob is referring to the fact that next month it will be two years ago that Dimitri passed away.
I think Rob's remark was meant for the "select group of insiders" who have pleasant memories of him (including myself).

Re: "spotters archive soesterberg"
Gerard, you're right,
Mazzels,
Rob
I reckoned that Dimitri was such a very well-known person amongst aircraft spotters that a closer introduction was not necessary. Apparently, I did need to say more .Rob's remark was meant for the "select group of insiders" who have pleasant memories of him
Mazzels,
Rob

Re: "spotters archive soesterberg"
Sh*t, sorry.
No apologising, as I for myself do know it.
I only looked at 1985, and the beautifull old Opel Kadett ........
Sorry again.
I did not forget Dimitri!
