Btw, would love to see this bird next to a Transall and a Hercules, just to compare the size.

It's smaller than a C-17 and bigger than a C-130, therefore filling in a gap in the range of military transport aircraft that are currently on the market. In fact, the US military is looking for a cargo plane like the A400M.
