Maybe check the topic of the 2008 event http://www.scramble.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=37107 for some of the info you are looking for. I guess entrance fee might be published at http://repulonap.hu/airshow/rovatok/en/2010/ first.

Hmmm....I think its a promotion stunt, as both American display teams have no European shows on their scheduele for 2010.Crizz wrote:They mention Thunderbirds display team (F-16 Fighting Falcon) or Blue Angels (F/A-18) display team on their website.
Re: Kecskemét 7,8 August 2010
Every time the Kecskemét Airshow invites a lot of really nice partisipants, but most won't show up.......sadly. Never the less the Kecskemét Airshow is a really nice opportunity to see some nice old school Mils, Migs and Su's................always nice and worth the trip!!!!
Cheers

You can find a longer accomodation list here. It's difficult to get free room in Kecskemét for this weekend.patrouilles wrote:Hi all!

This is a list of invitations, not confirmed participants like we see at the RNLAF Airforcedays website. (BTW this years list has been improved quite a lot compared to 2008, as the number of invited types that were wfu already when the list was published, is a lot lower this time.)r.e.hendriks wrote:Hmmm....I think its a promotion stunt, as both American display teams have no European shows on their scheduele for 2010.Crizz wrote:They mention Thunderbirds display team (F-16 Fighting Falcon) or Blue Angels (F/A-18) display team on their website.

I know, but they can invite what they want. The schedule is set for this year.aviodromefriend wrote:This is a list of invitations, not confirmed participants like we see at the RNLAF Airforcedays website.r.e.hendriks wrote:Hmmm....I think its a promotion stunt, as both American display teams have no European shows on their schedule for 2010.Crizz wrote:They mention Thunderbirds display team (F-16 Fighting Falcon) or Blue Angels (F/A-18) display team on their website.
Thunderbirds will participate at an airshow in Moffet Field, CA on 7/8 aug. 2010.
Blue Angels will participate at an airshow in Seattle, WA on 7/8 aug. 2010.
Do you beleave me now? Just a promotion stunt...
Best regards, Rob.
Re: Kecskemét 7,8 August 2010
I think the organizers got preliminary confirmation for the participation from the US without any aircraft details so that's why they don't remove the display teams. When they get the exact types they will remove the BA and the TB. In 2008 the situation was the same. In 2008 the Frecce Tricolori released their schedule with an Italian show on the weekend of Kecskemét, but later they changed their program and they flew here finally. I know it's simply impossible to get the American teams but the organizers have to wait the exact answer.aviodromefriend wrote:This is a list of invitations, not confirmed participants like we see at the RNLAF Airforcedays website. This invitation list is made for the Hungarian fans mainly because they send many many e-mails and forum posts about aircraft wishlists every year and this is the easiest way for the organizers to indicate they try to catch them.

I Was there in 2008, and stay in Budapest, there are plenty hotels and the city is nice. From there you can go by train to Kecskemet, then pick a bus from organization to the airfield.
Direct service from Budapest leaves from Budapest Nyugati station hourly. The entire journey takes an hour and twenty minutes.
Regards.

That would be great as the airshow website indicates that invitation was sent for a Frogfoot and an AS 332.me4o_puhh wrote:Still not official, but from Bulgaria - Su-25K Froogfoot and C-27J Spartan will participate in this year airshow.

I'm missing the invitations for the RuAF.
Btw. it's strange to see that the HuAF participation is not listed in the English version of the list. FYI: full inventory + C-17 Globie (NATO HAW).
This airshow (and possibly the annual air parade on the August 20 national holiday in Budapest) will be the last chances to see the HuAF MiG-29s before they'll be withdrawn from service. Withdrawal was earlier expected to take place by December 31, 2009 (their participation at the Aug 20 air parade last year was said to be the last opportunity for the public to see them in service) but it didn't happen.
