Why supporting a.net with our pictures?
My answer is this:
If you are luck enough to deal with people/owners etc etc requesting a photo you have taken you might be lucky enough to get the money what you require.Remember that your photo is a high quality one not resized as you upload it.But everyone has his own opinion about these sites and we respect it!!
I have met even with people complaining about certain photos being published like allegedly planes used by CIA etc etc...some others does'nt want to show their work maybe the photo was taken discreetly or in a hot AFB where photos are not allowed!!Anyway many people different ideas and conceptions!!
All d best for 2010 guys

Re: Foto's that Airliners.Net will not publish
I have to agree that A.net has a more strict policy on the quality of the pictures and therefore it's very hard to get your photo's accepted on A.net.
I believe Anet has reallty high quality pics. I haven't experienced problems with screeners when you appeal to a rejection.
The only 'incident' I ever experienced was when a very nice shot of a landing NW A330 at sunrise was accepted on A.net and half an hour later removed again "because it was a mistake".
However since I started to use a new post processing process I have a much higher acceptance rate.
Over the last two months I have more pics accepted then in the previous 2 years.

Hello
Tim de Groot made a new list about the rejections on A.net and I have to say that this list is much better then what is was in the past.
It gives a good explanation about the screening and the rejections.
ok sometimes its still weird why it got rejected but if you take this list and upload you're picture.it should be get much better now.
I readed this post al the way(and its long) but they give good advices and tips on processing you're pictures to the standard of Airliners.net.

Re: Foto's that Airliners.Net will not publish
A lot of things have been said and spoken out allready. I´ve got a question in general.....Does anyone here have any idea, if a rejected photo gets rescreened by the screener who has rejected it in the first place? or is the photo being rescreened in random order by who ever (screener) is available and does that new screener get to see what that the picture was rejected about in the first place?
Just something that i´m wondering about, cause that might be the reason why images get rejected for the second time for whole other reasons as in the first time....

It's random. The screener picks a set 1/5/10/20/50 from the queue and screens them. They only choose the amount, it's like picking the top few papers from a large stack. If it was rejected before, you can't see, unless you specifically start looking for old rejections. That is something they can do, but it's doesn't always happen. If the uploader mentions it's an improvement of an earlier rejection, they will more probably have a look at the old one.
The screener then accepts the pic or ticks one or more of the rejection reason boxes. If OK, it goes back into the pile of screened shots. He can also say 'I'm not sure, I need a second opinion'. Then more than 3 screeners will hav a look. If it gets 3 OK's, it gets accepted. The screener can also decide to instant add, so it doesn't need to go via 3 or more screeners.

Re: Foto's that Airliners.Net will not publish
Very clear explanation E, makes it all a lot more understandable why images get rejected for other reasons then the first rejection. I´m not saying that that is the 100% reason, but good chance it´s got some effect on it at least.Harry Spotter wrote:>> or is the photo being rescreened in random order by who ever (screener) is available and does that new screener get to see what that the picture was rejected about in the first place?

Re: Foto's that Airliners.Net will not publish
When one of my photo's gets rejected (this happens a LOT), I never resubmit.
I've appealed a photo once. That's it. I'm not going to start over.
I take their reasons for rejection and use it the next time I upload a picture. I've got three waiting to be screened right now. My guess is they will all be rejected, but I keep trying.
I know they can sometimes be "iffy" with their reasons for rejections, but for me it's a good motivation to keep trying and it makes me want to improve.
My guess is it's mostly due to my lack of post-process skills, but still...it's interesting
