Out-standing from 1997
Good evening,
I realise this might be asking alot, but during a vist to Woensdrecht back on 13.09.1997 I looged an F-28 (I think) marked A-209.
Could somebody confirm if this was the correct marking and a c/n if possible.
Thanks
Gary.

Re: Out-standing from 1997
Hello
Couldnt this regi be a mix up whit an Aloutte III as round this time a lot of them went through the DMV (Depot Vliegtuig Materieel) at Woensdrecht made ready for storage and sale.
Al this happend in 1996 and 1997.
Hope it helps a bit
Greetz Mark

Thanks Mark, but no definately an Aircraft and fairly sure it was an F-28.
Saw it from the field at the back of the airfield and if I remember rightly is was all white and maybe wrapped in film.
No worries if it doesn't ring any bells with anybody
Regards
Gary

Yep almost right 1209Burry wrote:wasn't this a part of the sn and should it be 11209?
Went to Malta as 9H-ADA
Re: Out-standing from 1997
I can find back 11209 as F28-4000
Thought all Fokker planes had 5 digits sn.
You refer to an AlIII, but he's pretty sure it was an F28.

Re: Out-standing from 1997
Allright then problem is solved.
Might be easy to know where on the field the A-209 ? was noted
Inside or Fokker storage area.
Together we will solve the mystery i hope !.

Re: Out-standing from 1997
11209 was destined for Merpati Indonesia but never taken up together whit another one.
Could be wel possible that it was on storage at Fokker Woensdrecht.
In that days a lot Fokkers came through EHWO most of them F-100 from American Airlines i thought and Swedish ones SAS ?.
So a lot changes over various visits.
but will dig some more.

Re: Out-standing from 1997
According Airlinerlist.com, F28 c/n 11209 was indeed in store in 1997, but in Surabaya...
So unless you had a REALLY strong binocular, it is unlikely you saw this one.
The only other possible 209 that I could find was a Korean F.100 with registration HL7209. It was flying with Korean at the time, but I do not know if it ever came back to Woensdrecht for maintenance.
