I've been to Malaysia in 2008 and did not hear anything about the crash.

taken at the TUDM Museum at Kuala Lumpur-Sungai Besi !!
The exact story why it crashed and why it was preserved in a museum is not know with me...

oeps forgot to mention that is was taken in August '95
So maybe they where to to proud of their exhibition and removed it ?!

at that time there was even an other wreckage of an crashed AS-332L ( M36-01 ).
I do'n have a detailed picture but you can see it in the back behind the HU-16 !

Today it wasn't really a day to do some photography... I am glad that I have some slide scanning to do

Thanx Dino... although I have a Nikon Coolscan 5000ED myself scanning Kodachromes remain still not easy or should I say difficult? Anyway is 'this' what you mean?
