REQ: Pictures from the trip to Luleå
I'm surprised none of the participants of the 4Aviation trip to Luleå (last week) posted any of his results here thus far (or did I "look with my nose"?). As I think this trip might have supplied some great shots I wondered whether we might expect some, still? I understand a full report will be put on the 4Aviation website in near future, but I'm so curious !
Cheers,
Rob
Cheers,
Rob

Re: REQ: Pictures from the trip to Luleå
Hi Rob,
We had a great trip to Lulea, I'm still working through my photos (I've so many good ones I'm having a hard time picking ones to edit).
Here is one for now:
For the morning take off's the sun was shining straight down the runway, lighting the aircraft up from behind so until the aircraft passed us we were effectively shooting into the sun. I like this kind of lighting but it may not be to everyone's liking.
I'll post more pictures once I've finished picking them out and editing them.
Regards,
Frank.

Hi to all,
What a trip we had to the north of sweden with sunshine, snow, trains, cars, snowmobile and planes.
Also this was my first time ever making pictures in the dark, and with the result i am very happy.
Thanks to our guide Louise and 4 Aviation for 2 wonderfull days .
This one was taken with the EOS-1Dmark3 and 300 2.8 IS + 1.4 Extender II at AV 4.0, TV 1/50 ISO 3200.
Hope you like them and comments are more than welcome.
Will post some more later this week.
Greetings,
Remco

Boy oh boy oh boy, I knew I was going to regret this .
I had the intention to subscribe to this trip, but I was not able to join due to unforseen circumstances. I hope to join next time because man, these pictures are great, thanks for sharing!
Mazzels,
Rob

Actually, these aircraft were used for fire training until a few years back, but this is now done at another location. Luckily, the Swedes also honor their aircraft as they have a Viggen preserved in the city. Besides that, Luleå has a very interesting museum. Unfortunately, during our visit most aircraft were almost totally covered in snow..Ouch........
