IrishAirPics wrote:Hi Guys,
I'm going to Wittmund tomorrow, can anyone tell me where I can park my car in order to get access to the mound at the eastern end of the runway?
The Scramble guide for Spot 3 (the mound) says to drive up to the end of a road called Wehler Weg and park in the meadow. I did that today but it looks more like a field than a meadow, is it ok to park in the field or will the farmer drive over my car with his tractor?
Thanks in advance,

At the end of this dirt track you have to look slightly right. This hill is a very good point to see 'everything'. To park a Fiat Panda at the dirt track will be no problem or you have to park this tiny vehicle at the middle of it...IrishAirPics wrote:
As you get to the end of the road you can see the mound directly ahead? I want to double check as there are a few small roads that lead towards the base from the south.
I'm driving a Fiat Panda hire car, it's a small car yet it still took up a good chunk of space even when parked up on the verge.
We didn't saw any base security at all for the whole day!IrishAirPics wrote:Thanks again, the mound is indeed slightly to the right. If you say you had no trouble parking there then I'll park there too.
By the way, did you have any problems with base security on the mound?
