Does anybody know if the turkish KC will fly his missions tomorrow?

As everybody already knows the Frisian Flag missions are cancelled (volcanic ash) for know and all F-4's on Wittmund are grounded (ejectseat problem?)?
I have no clue if this will invact the mission schedule for this nice KC.

Otto you wrote down a nice list with arrival and departure times for the 12th until the 14th. Can you provide us some times for this friday the 16th if possible?

Thanks in advance.

As the Turkish Tanker is there for exercise Brilliant Ardent which is held in the Northern Airspaces i assume their mission is also cancelled as it is near the playing grounds of Frisian Flag.

Last week they refeulled Spang F-16s in ARA Gini (which is in the norhtern part of Germany)

20/4
This evening the Turkish tanker and 2 USAF tankers were still present.
Also present was an unidentified (R)C-12/Be-200 (?) on the same ramp as the tankers.
Anymore more details about this last one?

Hello,
The Tuaf tanker is still present at Geilenkirchen. Today there was no flying, just the Beech 350. I saw 2 USAF tankers and the Turkish one. Also I saw 5 E-3's at the ramp, who can tell me the numbers?
Thx

I bet the Turkish tanker will be leaving tomorrow, as the F-16 in WTM will be going home by tomorrow!

All 17 NATO E-3s grounded due to corrosion of front gear cover found on one aircraft recently.
Should be rectified however "in a few days", as soon as required spare parts are available.
Source: NATO, various online News ...

At least one TCA was noted flying yesterday, however.

Welcome, Russian Air Force for some recce flights over Central and Western Europe, bring the Tu-95s to our airspace!

GEILENKIRCHEN FRIDAY 2010-05-07 RW27
Weather: scattered/broken clouds, light rain, some sun, light wind

Based aircraft (NATO Airborne Early Warning Force):
E-3A NAEWF 90448 T09:12 L15:55 a2
E-3A NAEWF 90453 T09:25

CT-49A NAEWF 19997 T09:56
CT-49A NAEWF 20000 T10:35 L13:44 a9

Detached aircraft (tanker support for NAEWF):
KC-135R 507thARS 71427 bl AFRC T14:39
KC-135R 507thARS 00365 bl AFRC T15:53

Visiting aircraft:
Tornado GR.4 Marham Wg ZD793/101 L16:35*
Tornado GR.4 Marham Wg ZG771/133 L16:35*

(notes: as I had not been visiting Geilenkirchen for quite a long time, I used the planned departure day of a rare AFRC tanker detachment for another journey to the NATO airbase. However, quite a lot of patience was required until the two KC-135s finally departed back home at mid-afternoon. Luckily, also two based Boeing 707s where active that day, one of them performing very intensive local flying at the airbase. Surprising arrival of two RAF Tornados completed this small but nice log of a very rainy day)
