BRILLIANT picture Stefan. :worship:

This one sums up for me what a visit to Japan is like ; absolute chaos in traffic, buildings, roads, language and people but if you get through it the reward (in the background) ... great photo opportunities of a fantastic Air Force, Army and Navy .... sorry for getting philosofical & emotional.
Thanks! It was not my first time over there, but the country keeps me interested (because of all the aspects you mention).

Stefan

Nice and crisp, Jutter! I am sure Iwakuni will attract more photographers as the new runway has been completed, especially on a day with a southerly wind.

Nog wat plaatjes van Atsugi

Image

Image
Op zaterdag kwamen twee Hunters binnen zetten. Beetje raar op Atsugi maar wel leuk. Jammergenoeg trok er net een wolkendek over.

Very nice photos here indeed!!! A great trip and stunning results. Especially the ones from P Terlouw and Arnold!
For padidiver, I would suggest to check either your photobucket account and upload pics in smaller sizes so that you avoid compression or work a bit more with post-processing like colour levels (they all look rather red) and sharpness...
But for all you I appreciate the variety of compositions here! Not just some standard side on shots, but real photos! :P

I'd rather depict atmosphere and the 'heat of the moment' making a catchy photo than to reflect the real situation and real colours showing a boring photo.

Magnificent pictures by all! I´m also looking back at a great trip, with lots of good memories.

Haven´t had the time yet to go through all of my pictures (100+ Gb) properly. But many seem familiair - the images of Menno and Hans show that you´ll always miss out on something (just because you can only be at one place at a time...).

I know that at least 1 (and maybe as much as 3) Japanese Navy TBM 3 Avenger is preserved as a gate guard in Japan. But I have no clue of its location, other than ön a (Navy?) helicopter field. Was this TBM ever seen (and photographed)during a trip?
