To be honest the participation list is really disappointing, especially keeping in mind the airshow should take place in 4 (!) weeks. Dutch F-16 Demoteam will be the only foreign AF visitor atm....

Last year they didn´t publish the participation list until 15th May. I think there are more foreign military participants.

Indeed, Jas-39 will be there for sure - Czechs always came when they were invited, Mirage 2000 was last year on static, I don´t see a reason why it shouldn´t be this year, Panavia Tornado - well god knows, Austrian EF-2000 is also possible and as for Su-35 - no way in hell.

I wouldn't be so sure. Last year Slovakian AF canceled their participation in Ostrava in very strange way so....

I got two different informations about cancellation of participation at NATO Days in Ostrava last year.

It was caused either by lack of financies (participation was confirmed, but later lack of money forced Slovak AF to cancel it) or by administrative error (and, of course, nobody was able or willing to solve it).

I hope your neighbors from Czech Republic do not remember it anymore and will sent their demo to Piestany:)

Besides 4th National Air Days and fair trade "Aero salon Piestany", another event will take place on 29-30th May 2010. Military museum, which is located in Piestany Airport will open the 2010 season.

The museum will introduce new exhibits: BURKA ("Storm") III, SPR-1, 9K79 "TOCKA", 9P133 BRDM and PRAGA A-150. Access to the cockpits (or cabins) of Su-22, MiG-21, L-29, Mi-24, T-72, OT-64, PLDVK 53/59 will be available. Museum will also provide dynamic displays of its exhibits.

During the 4th National Air Days the museum will present itself by Su-22, MiG-21, L-29, Mi-24, Mi-8PPA, ZT-55, T-72, BVP-1, BVP-2, ShKH vz. (pattern) 77. DANA

Entrance will be free of charge

Well, I just can´t understand how is even possible that they promised participation of MiG-29 when they knew about the problems with com systems and that was clearly AF error.

Anyway, can´t wait to see Točka again - it´s been long 10 years since I saw it last time.

Well, it´s just 15 days till the airshow so I hope that it will stay as it is however I just can´t understand how did they manage to do this. Just a few weeks ago it seemed to be impossible and shame about Frecce Tricolori, but maybe we´ll see them next time.

According to press message: (http://www.nld.sk/wp-content/uploads/tlacovaspr55.doc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;), there will be another display from Czech republic: "Group An-2" from Heritage of Flying Legends. I have seen them flying 5 or 2 An-2. There will be displays of L-13 Blanik glider, historical glider Z-23 Honza and paradrops.

Tickets:

Adults - 6 euros
Children up to 150cm, retired (over 65 years old), disabled (in Slovakia - ZTP): 2 euros
Children under 2 years, disabled (ZTP-S) + guide: free

Organisers recommend to use alternative means of transport like trains or buses.
