Ohio ANG at Spang today.
Folks,
I just figured the Ohio ANG F-16 will arrive at Spang today from Hungary assuming they are leaving back to US on Monday.
....run and get them

When they arrived two weeks ago, where did they park? Were they visible from the outside?

Re: Ohio ANG at Spang today.
Would not be suprised if they are using "BUCKEYE" as their callsign inbound to Spangdahlem, as they did while enroute to Hungary from Spangdahlem.
BUCKEYE is their normal callsign when flying out of area. for crossing the pond I asume normal ferry callsigns can be expected.

Hi,
8 arrived, indeed c/s Buckey01-08
Planned departure might be affected by ash getting in again. But they are still on original schedule.
Support was by 1 C-17 that did Hungary - OH.

I've heard 1100L dep Monday morning BUT it is subject to the Volcanic Ash cloud that is affecting a large part of the North Atlantic.
Re: ETAD 08-05-2010
This will be the last time any of you will see the 178th FW flying F-16s; it was announced yesterday that they will transition to the MQ-1 Predator. The last flying day for the Americans is 5 June (the Dutch will stay until the end of the year before moving to Luke AFB).
Get photos if you can - a good number of these F-16s will be going to the boneyard!
P.S. - Likely airtacs:
V12 139.000
V13 139.250
V14 143.750

Cincinnati/Dayton, OH

Re: ETAD 08-05-2010
That's too bad, the MQ-1 is a much better Air Defense Fighter
But the Dutch will be moving to Tucson though? They will fill the gaps when the UAE leaves.
