Some impressions from Havelte Barracks' Open House on Saturday 29 May. Weather was a bit thinly clouded at times with light coming from the left, but nevertheless, I enjoyed myself.

Havoc creating a local sandstorm;
Waiting for the skytrain boys;
And on the go for another round;
Hellooooooooooo;
Midday break at the FARP;
Wildcats in the field;
Havocs, Wildcats and Grizzlies preparing there lunch;
Here we go again, Havoc coming in while Hawkeye is waiting;
Whoehoeoeeoe;
That must be quite a view from the frontseat, look mummy without hands;

Re: Havelte Army Days
Hi belenos and Purple,
How did you manage to get to the landing zone? Or are you soldiers/working for the army?
These Army Days didn't bring what I was hoping for, mainly due to the weather. White clouds and almost black helicopters doesn't work out very well together. The sand storms didn't help much either.
Only one reasonable photo was left after selection of my photos:
We must have been standing next to each other Hans .

No we are not in the army. We walked there and asked friendly by the local guards what the possibilities were to take some pictures. Stay in the bush and do not walk in the fields were the FARP was located.
