Hi Maarten,
You see, just keep on trying and one day under the right conditions you get the perfect shot!
Awesome contrails! indeed very clear sky tonight. Due to lack of time
I couldn't enjoy it.
Regards,
Rob

Re: SkyHigh Photos
After reviewing my tonights photos of a few flights I was able to capture today, my attention was drawn
to this picture of PIA flight 792, AP-BHW at 35.000 ft. heading 098. The bright spot between the contrails
is planet Venus.
So we not only have moon crossings but as from today also Venus crossings
Normally this one would go straight to the bin, however with Venus added it gets more "value"

Rob

Re: SkyHigh Photos
SIA 322 9V-SKE with missing flap track fairing.
After reviewing my photos of this morning I discovered that SIA 322 9V-SKE cruising at Fl 380, Heading 270
was missing a flap track fairing on her right wing. She's must have lost it somewhere along the route?
Here a blown up area:
Probably the aircraft was repared or still servicable as on ATCBox she was visible again for the return leg to Singapore.
In case anyone has some more information please share it in this topic.
Regards,
Rob

Re: SkyHigh Photos
Indeed it's quite allright to take off without a (or even more) flap fairings, no matter which plane. It's only slightly less economical because of the extra parasitic drag.probably already missing before flight.. probably it is allowed to fly without for a 747
I always say a boy can learn more at an airport than at any school.

Isn't this the same aircraft, with indeed the same flap fairing missing, as the picture in this thread of June 2, by Maarten-sr?Selcal wrote:SIA 322 9V-SKE with missing flap track fairing.

So at least it's been operating like this for a couple of days...maarten-sr wrote:9V-SKE A380 SIA FL400 on route to EGLL

I think I'm the only one who has seen the Emirates A380 pass EHGR during the open days on saturday (19-06)
Kind regards, Jeffrey.

It is in the queue yet.
I have yesterday also my second mooncrossing. Only less successful since my autofocus set the focal point at some small clouds in front of the moon. But still like to share it whit you.

Nice contributions last time
Actually I was pointing at the moon to measure the light when the Korean 747 already made her fly-by. Next time better luck ( one second ! ).
