Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

JUN 14-18 Machynlleth Loop: MAE WYTHNOS MAWR YNG NGHYMRU
Hi All,
Finally got back behinf my PC and did some processing of pics.
We were in the Mach Loop area from 14th- 18th of June.
With very little frontline traffic on monday or thuesday the wednesday began a bit :Search: but after the swept wing tornado it was :Yahoo!:
What a perfect week. As in the southern of France (costa's) camping were erased from the map due to rain, we had all the weather we could wish for!
On with the pics: A small selection of the many photos I took that week:
Photo of the week:
31sqn tornado thundering down through Bluebell.
Tucano coming from Dinas Maddwwy flying through the Bwlch towards Bala.
First day first frontliner: A 41sqn Harrier almost surprised me wenn I was not paying attention.
Other crazy guys:
Greetz, Ron
Cyfarch, Ron

Lovely, hope you enjoyed life in the hills and the food at the Buckley Arms
We were there two weeks before you guys, and we had 3 swept wing Tornado in 2 days, so not impressed with just one
Love the special tail GR4 though, also the Strikemaster is a star
All the best, Micahel

Jow Remco this area is English only.
We are there before the RIAT, when it really happens
Ron can you share your experiences about Bleubell? Because it looks like a good position. I have never been there only Cad, Bwlch and Corris Corner. How about the minimum amount of MM? Position of the sun?
Thanks in advance!

Brilliant !! I prefer this over the ever showing handwave.
Re: JUN 14-18 Machynlleth Loop: MAE WYTHNOS MAWR YNG NGHYMRU
Excellent pictures, just like Stefan I think a handfull of planes on a day is not enough, but I do always look at the pics posted. Absolute winners!
Also a winner is that guy in the dailymail. And the reaction of the defense minister is brave too: "The Ministry of Defence laughed off the light-hearted moment, saying the navigator was showing some personality."
That is the ONLY way to react to something like that!

Hi Ron,
I can't find any exif info in the images, but I assume these are all made with your shiny new 1DmkIV?
How does it perform under 'battle conditions'?
