A very nice gesture from the base commander. We should consider telling him to never do it again via this civil organisation and send the money from last spottersday to a charity organisation rather than reimburse it. This would really improve the relation between spotters and the Belgian Air Component even further!

Greetings, Paul
Paul,

I totally agree with you. Just like the money from the KB spottersdays that is going to charity.

" who had also a very dissappointing day last friday"
Agree +1
I would suggest to donate it to Fonavibel (Nationaal Hulpfonds voor Slachtoffers van het Belgische Vliegwezen - Fonds National d' Aide aux Victimes de l'Aviation Belge).
Kind Regards,

Andries

You both are right. It had 617 Sq markings on both sides, but had also a 'XV' marking on the righthand side if the tail.

Hmmm... can somebody ask the RAF to make up their minds as to which squadron this bird actually belongs  :?:

Looking at my pics I can identify F-16AM FA-92/FS for sure (100%), and probables on F-16BM's FB-12 (60% sure) and FB-21 (35% sure). Wasn't standing at a "good" spot during the so-called 'airpower demo' as the F-16's were either sky-high or banking just before I could get a good shot. Got nice belly-shots, though
However, there MUST have been other spotters that were better situated... !?

Thanks to some replies at other fora I can now confirm that FA-92, FB-12 and FB-21 were present (photoproof). An SBS-log gives FB-15 as no.4 but as yet no photoproof of that.
