Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Quick visit to EHAM for the AN124 and some others.
Maybe I'll go back for the 747 charters later today.

Jeroen, What kind of lens on your camera are you using or is it a digital zoom? My opinion, your images need some improvement..

Do you notice that your photos has "black borders" on 4 sides? And are you familiar how to shoot photos with a zoomlens like you have...?PH-JVV wrote:Ger, I have a Canon EFS 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS

Check this old Belgium forum about these "zwarte randen" on your photos. Maybe it helps you to improve your photos. And it is also nice to crop your photos.

Please note the dark area under the wing. And on the building on right. I think you try to make those areas to bright. Also the saturation is quite high.
Maybe you can improve those things.
Good luck.

Why not wait 3 seconds before you take a picture and that the full registrations are "also" visible. Now it is just a white 747 and an Air Pullmantur!

-edit- new version uploaded. Indeed I overdid some things, thanks!
The 100mm (minimum on my lens) is a bit too much for side shots of a 747.Ger wrote:Why not wait 3 seconds before you take a picture and that the full registrations are "also" visible. Now it is just a white 747 and an Air Pullmantur!

Shooting the aircraft from behind with the light at the time wasn't very good (did try), lots of 'backlit'.
For example:
In retrospect, the registration is visible on the nose gear door.

Anyone any idea what the AN-124 came to pick up or brought at EHAM ?
It is indeed always a nice sound when it takes off. Not always good for your ears.. but who cares ?

Read in another topic that it was stuff to fight the big oil leak in the Mexican Golf. Or stuff to clear the oil from the beach. Anyway, has to do with the oil leak !angel77 wrote:Anyone any idea what the AN-124 came to pick up or brought at EHAM ? It is indeed always a nice sound when it takes off. With AMJ and KXN claerly visible on the nosewheel door I don't see the registration changes a lot, but what do I know.Ger wrote:Why not wait 3 seconds before you take a picture and that the full registrations are "also" visible. Now it is just a white 747 and an Air Pullmantur!
