People,

seeing these pics and the diversity of planes and countries, especially the ones you not see often, it must have been the best airshow of this year. Even beating the RIAT which slowly starts to loose it's fame and glory.

... but I wonder. Are the pics, the best serie I saw, taken by 4Aviation within the big crowd behind the fences? Or did they have special treatment?

Hi,

If you are referring to the shots made in the evening sun: these were taken from the public area. We decided to walk all the way to the threshold on the south-side as we wanted to photograph the MiG-29s taking off and taxiing out/back. Taxiing out and taking off pictures were spoiled by the Frecce smoke (grrr), but landing and taxiing shots turned out OK (after we practiced a bit with maneuvering our lenses through the holes in the fence..:-))

One more from me that's already on Photobucket. I took it on Friday.
I watched the pilot when he taxied by on Saturday and noticed that he is 'an old guy', 50+ I'd guess.

I think on the first pic there is a MiG-15, the 17 has a more rounded wingtip.

But: where did You shoot this aircraft?
