Re: Message board migration comments
Hi Hans,
Congratulations on the migration !! I hope the connectivity problems have all been resolved.
I will keep an eye out for system hick-ups, but I'm sure that even with your limited testing you have managed to solve most of the problems.
Well done to you and the team !
Cheers,
Iwan

Re: Message board migration comments
Hans,
First impression is a major improvement in responsetime while opening the Scramble home page, ie the short list of message board items selected for the home page pops up immediately, which smells like a good performing database.
Hope that you have been able to increase the number of active database connections, we will find this out in the future.
A big thank you for all the effort invested by you and other Scramble team members to facilitate this Message board which has become an integral part of my daily life (only slightly exagerated, ask my wife and kids)
Diederik

Forum reageerd lekker snel!
http://www.scramble.nl/forum werkt niet meer (heb daar een aantal bookmarks mee).
Is het mogelijk om deze link in ere te herstellen, of kan ik maar beter al mijn bookmarks aanpassen?

No, you didn't miss anything; I just forgot to mention.Ghanz wrote:Maybe I missed the notificatio, if so, sorry about that, but could not help noticing the URL to reach the forum changed from:

No, this is not possible, because the forum is now on a complete other server. But on the other hand, any links/bookmarks you stil have, pointing to http://www.scramble.nl/forum/something will still work, as you will automatic be forwarded to the new forum.Derice wrote:http://www.scramble.nl/forum werkt niet meer (heb daar een aantal bookmarks mee).

Re: Message board migration comments
just noticed there indeed is one exception to what I told above: at least there needs to be one forward slash after /forum to make it work.
So will not forward you to the new server, while does, just like and so on.
I need to check this tonight when I'm back at home.
Hans
So

Re: Message board migration comments
The link to the forum on the "community" page is still pointing to http://www.scramble.nl/forum (without the back slash at the end) and does not work.
Anyway ,concrats with the migration.
