As already mentioned by some others, Emirates will, unfortunately, not fly to SPL with the A380 this year.
The reason I mentioned the possible start of it, with some reluctance, was due to the fact that several colleagues (my work being ATCo at LVNL) were in serious talks with Emirates about how to handle this.
I did not post this with the idea to get some minds racing, but tried to be ahead of the stream of rumours I expected to start once this 'news' would come to light. Apologies if my intentions were not clear from the start.

Yeah maybe i was one of the guys really hoping for the daily EK A380 flights to AMS, but now that CZ have one of those A380 on the airbus line, we could expect either CZ or EK starting within the near future with those giants operating AMS, its just a matter of time..

You where not the only one how received the rumors about EK cause i know people from the aircraft cleaning company at SPL how cleans the EK planes, they told me that EK was planning to fly AMS double daily and then you find the A380 here some day so we just wait and see.

As announced previously the Bosnian-Herzogovian carrier Air Bosna will introduce a 3x/weekly A319 service from Sarajevo to Amsterdam starting 2 December 2010:

Between February 13th and March 13th a wintercharter to Åre and Östersund (OSD) will fly every Sunday (so 4 times in total).

The operator is 'Scandjet', but I cannot find much info on this airline (if it is indeed an airline, because all I know it's a charterbroker and ticketseller). Could we maybe expect some Nordic MD-80's?
