MARTINAIR has now published the cancellation of its 4x/weekly B767-300ER service to Orlando starting 11 January 2011 and its 1x/weekly service to Varadero will close as well. Question is who will step in to this vacuum.

And opens from 15-01-11:
- MP623 AMS dep. 12.15 - arr. 17.00 HAV dep. 18.30 - arr 21.35 PUJ dep. 22.35 - arr. 12.10+1 AMS 767 Sat

From that date the Friday Flight to HAV will be cancelled.
Till 15-01-11 HAV on Mon, Thu, Fri, Sun.
From 15-01-11 HAV on Mon, Thu, Sat (Via PUJ), Sun .

So 5x weekly MP flights (4x MCO, 1x HAV) will dissapear, and one destination (VRA) is replaced (by HAV)

It is interesting to see how Jade Cargo increasingly uses AMS as a hub for its USA-Asia services:

The introduction of the 3x/weekly World Airways B747-400F flights from Chicago to AMS and the existing Jade Cargo 17x/weekly flights from AMS to Asia, permit the Chinese (& LH) cargo airline to publish a set of ORD-Asia connections via AMS:

- ORD - AMS = day 3,5,7 Direct WO7440
- ORD - AMS - ICN = day 3,5,7 direct WO7440

The Netherlands gains air route to IRAQ, permitting Amsterdam Airlines to commence flying its published schedule AMS to Baghdad:

The Ministry of Transport of Iraq has tentatively approved the opening of flights between Iraq and the Netherlands.

The announcement follows a meeting with a delegation from The Hague in Baghdad on 19 October. The Ministry states that it supports the opening of air transport connections between Erbil, Baghdad and Amsterdam.

Iraqi Airways used to fly to Amsterdam via Istanbul with B727-200's, while KLM operated AMS-ATH-BGW with DC8-63s and A310.

Amsterdam Airlines has published the following schedule:
- From 6 Nov - dep. 08.00 AMS - arr. 1515 BGW AAN601 32S NONSTOP Saturday only
- From 6 Nov - dep. 16.45 BGW - arr. 2015 AMS AAN602 32S NONSTOP Saturday only

- From 7 Nov - dep. 08.00 AMS - arr. 15.00 EBL AAN701 32S NONSTOP Sunday only

According to luchtvaartnieuws.nl Cargolux will operate the Boeing 747-8F to Schiphol in 2011.

And according to Airliner World October issue, AirBridgeCargo will recieve its first 747-8F in February 2011. It will replace the 747-200s and the 747-300s, so there's a big chance we will see it here.
