Test: scanned photo

Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Hiya,

Bought a new all-in-one printer/scanner and tried to scan an old photo.
Did some basic photoshop editing and am ready for your comments:

A photo, taken in 2003 at LEMU (Muchamiel Alicante Airport).

Some additional info:

Photo has been scanned on an A4 scan-bed.
Size after scanning is aprox 2152x1480 pix, 300 dpi.

Resized in 1024X768 pix, 300 dpi.
Edited the colours ("variations") and some 'sharpening'.

For me it looks OK!, especially for a scanned picture the quality is good. Only the dots in the left upper corner look like dirt.

Not bad Chris. Colors seem a bit harsh but I guess that is caused by a mid-day sun.
What's the brand of your scanner?

Epson Stylus Photo PX810FW (wifi/network). And yes, photo was taken around noon, in the Spanish sun... ;)

Looks nice. What format do the original photos have?
I've got pretty much the same results by just digitally photographing a 10x15cm photo. It all depends on the quality of the original photo.
