Edwards AFB Open house (tooooo many shots!)
Hi all,
Now winter has rolled in I finally made some time to seek in some dusty corners of my Power Mac's HD's. First subject I've found is the 2009 Edwards AFB open house that I was able to visit. It was a fantastic venue, lot of variety and rarely seen aircraft and...it just breaths history out there!
An impression. Action shots were made on the "other" side of the runway. This was made possible by the public affairs office and was not only open to the press. Great place, close to the runway action. Demo's were a bit far away from us but didn't bother us.
Enjoy!
Cheers,
Frank

Fantastic! I like the F-15 MTD very much. Such a beauty. Also the B-2 take off shots are very nice.
Kind regards, Jeffrey.

Hi Frank,
Nice shots, and i see you were oe better side of the airfield then me ... i only attended the airshow itself and i must say i was pretty burned when it was over (Sun on my face the whole day)...
Thank you very much for showing them to us, because this brings back some nice memories.

What a great post!
I liked both the preserved planes - very rare for most of them - and the
"in action" pics!
Thanks for sharing!

Very enjoyable report!!
All those strange designs in between familiar ones. I love the B-1 and B-52 pics! The paint on some of the stored aircraft was - not surprisingly - a lot more sunlight-effected compared to ten years ago... And I like the two nice European surprises as well; the S-35XD and the S.11.1!
(by the way, you accidently double-posted the Lifting Body on pole)
Thanks for sharing!
