It is not an illusion...
This day, this aircraft has made any landings with gear doors opened... testing from Airbus. Why ? I don't know :|
I'll give it a try; when normal landing gear extention fails (this normally happens by hydraulics) the remaining option is a manual extention. With this move the landing gear doors are lowered by gravity (unable to close them like during normal operations) and this result comes out.

Thanx for the pictures of Toulouse Airport. As a military spotter i like this topic to see the new Airbusses from time to time!

btw, what the thing about the white nose thing on the airbusses..
