Question about a Boeing 737 at Victorville

Post by Rob van R »

On april the 8th i visited Victorville in California. On the photo you see a 737 which looks like Gol colours. It has an American registration which maybe ending at ML (N...ML ?????) Who knows which Boeing 737 is. Due to heathaze the photo isn't that sharp..............

It is the 737 in the middle of the photo with the sun? in the tail.

Doesn´t look like Gol to me (those are white with orange tail), but Sol from Venezuela. See a pic at A.net.
However, I have been looking for a Sol plane in storage but can´t find any. They only seem to have the above one that supposedly is still flying.

Correction, I was looking at an old list. They seem to have had two and according to Airfleets.com both have moved on.
21184 (440) 737-205 01/02/2008 01/05/2010 YV206T To Global Air as XA-UKW
23225 (1102) 737-236 01/03/2009 28/07/2010 YV397T To RUTACA as YV397T

No other pics found from / at Victorville with this frame on it. Seems that it could be the last lease-period c/s of Sol that has been painted on it and after it it recieved it US-markings. Couldn't read the regi either on the other pic.

can't find a list of this Sol .
anything listed at VCV in 2010 like N...ML is N828AL ex Aloha.
basic colours almost identical!

Rene,

Is this by you mentioned frame of Aloha also listed in June 2009 ? Than in that case there would be a match.
( look at the two pics in this topic which are nearly identical, only in june 2009 this frame was mostly completed)

I have to search a bit more if it has been stored in 2009 also.
to make it a bit complicated, there's an N837AL as well.....
although pictures of this frame show (so far) only Aloha titles.
maybe the guys of this site can help you more:

According Airlinerlist.com the mentioned Aloha Boeing (N828AL) was ferried to Victorville in April 2008. N837AL as well.

Visited VCV last October and this one is causing me headache as well.

N837AL was seen several times in 2009/2010 in Aloha-colors. On http://www.airliners.net/photo//1841726 ... e50d469d10 it is located at the left upper corner.
At the same time the SOL-737 was mentioned but no reports of the N828AL in Aloha-colors. I suspect this SOL 737 is N828AL as the SOL-colors are mainly those of Aloha. SOL's only 737 they had (YV397T) is flying for Rutaca now so that is for sure not the one.

N837AL was there on my visit at the terminal/apron side in full Aloha colours. My guess at the moment is that the Sol 737 is indeed the N828AL, because i haven't noted that one on my visit

Everybody thanks for the information
