Cold wintersday at Ramstein: Cool!!!!
With very pleasent company I made a trip to Ramstein. Here the pics of a with sunshine blessed cold sunday afternoon:
1 First departure: Snow from the Hunsruck hillis on the background
2 C-9A coming in:
3 C-17A from McChord coming in:
4 And one from Mississippi ANG:
5 One from McGuire leaving waiting for a Mchord coming in:
6 Mchord inbound:
7 And the McGuire one heading for the runway:
8 Star of the day(for me) C-5A taxing out:
9 Another shot of this beauty:
10 Again:
11 C-5A Head on ( heavy crop):
12 And one from the otherside:
13 A McGuire C-17A leaving:
14 Same one:
15 Memphis C-5A coming in:
16 The one which came in from Mchord going out again:
17: And one from Mississippi (183AS) tries to sneak out through the intersection:
18 A Kc-135R from its sister squadron(153ARS) using the total runway:

On Sundays there is no flying activity before 13.00. Only VIP's or Medevacs occasionally before 13.00.
Furthermore, it can be very different each sunday, I've had Sundays with lots of traffic, but also with almost nothing coming in...
