Excellent news that this was firmed up!

Also very interesting order: Alitalia has signed up for some more Embraers: 15 E.175 and 5 E.190!
More info on Luchtvaartnieuws.

Edit: E.175 iso E.170

I think that with the announcement of the firm order for 300 P&W PurePower PW1100G engines by IndiGo we can safely assume that at least the order for 150 A320neo's is a firm order....

Qatar Airways has ordered 2 777-300ER and 3 777F.
Eventually this will grow their 777F fleet to 6. (will be nice to see those at EHAM)

Russian carrier UTair Aviation (UT/UTA) has signed a deal with ATR for 20 ATR72-500s.
According to the ATR press release, once these are delivered, UTair will be the largest ATR operator in Europe, although I expect that they will phase out their older models as the new aircraft are delivered.

Not so much an order as a cancellation, but last months cancellation of 8 B787s seems to be from Air Pacific (FJ/FJI).
It wasn't announced who made the cancellation at the time, but in the latest overview from Boeing the FJ aircraft are no longer listed.

Embraer has picked up a few orders from China:

Hebei Airlines (NS/DBH), has signed a deal for 10 E190s plus 5 options.

Lessor CDB Leasing Co. has increased its existing order with another 10 E190s (to be placed with China Southern), and signed a letter of intent for 10 more.

Small correction: from the press release it is clear that the 777F's are destined for daughter Air Logistics, not Lufthansa Cargo. They (Air Logistics) already operate the type.

On the contrary. The press release mentions that the Triples are for "business segment Logistics", not AeroLogic. Check out the home page for the business segment Logistics within Lufthansa and you will see this is the parent unit for Lufthansa Cargo.

And American Airlines keeps going back to Boeing for more B777-300ERs. This time they ordered 2 more, for a total of 5 now. These are option coversions and the anouncement is burried in the earnings report.
American Airlines wrote:Fleet Renewal and Flexibility for the Future: 777-300ER

As part of the Company's fleet renewal efforts, American Airlines now has five 777-300ERs that are scheduled for delivery in 2012 and 2013, including two additional aircraft for which options were recently exercised. These 777-300ERs will complement American's fleet, offering additional network flexibility in the future, and providing increased efficiency due to better seat mile economics and performance characteristics.
