The B1s flew from Ellsworth

Ijheard what I thought was Bone01 same day but was told it was Bolar....suspect it may well have been Bone all along !

B-1B Lancer takes off in support Operation Odyssey Dawn from Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D., March 27, 2011. This mission marked the first time the B-1 fleet has launched combat sorties from the continental United States to strike targets overseas

Qatar Mirage's QA85, QA95, QA96 and QA98 refueled at Incirlik AB on March 25th.

So i guess they arrived at Souda 25th or 26th.

Hi,

According the Forsvarsmakten.se-website they should deploy max. of 8 JAS39 Gripens and a Tp84 from the Nordic Battle group in a very short period if the Swedish parliament set the lights on green. It is expect they will be stationed at Deci/Sardinia.

Now that Typhoons and Raphales are in action over Libya, Sweden also has a commercial interest to show the capabilities of the Gripen. Of course that will not be the only reason....

Sweden has a tradition of taking part in operations with a UN mandate. They flew with J29 Tunnans over the Congo in the 60s providing air support to ground forces. They were in Bosnia with UNPROFOR. Nowadays they take part in ISAF. So implying this has something to do with commercial intensions, is a bit farfetched IMHO.
