Warszawa (not Warschau!!) is the nearest airport - around 90km from Radom.
According to some rumors - Russian will be in Radom with few MiG-29 and Il-78.

Re: Radom 2011
There are rumours, that Patrouille Suisse leader stated in an interview for some Swiss newspaper they will be visiting Radom in 2011. That'd be a first for Radom Air Show.
Also, Midnight Hawks might be returning this year: their pilots stated such a wish as they were (supposably) very well greeted in 2009 ad well as a LIFT contract is about to be signed soon by PLAF...

Re: Radom 27/28 August 2011
Hi all! I'm new to this and I'm hoping to make Radom this year for the first time. Just wanted to ask a question...
I've found a hotel in Starachowice, which is the nearest I could find to Radom. Just wondering, if I were to book here, how would I be able to get to the airfield and back?
Any information will be really appreciated! Thanks, I hope to see some of you at the show! Let's hope the Russians confirm and turn up!

Not the best location to stay...To get to Radom you will need to catch a bus...Maybe try to find something else...Send me PM with hotels you have checked - we will figure something out.

Kieran,
First of all, Starachowice is quite far, have you REALLY tried closer? Try using zumi.pl, which is the most popular Polish map search service. If you use the following link: http://www.zumi.pl/namapie.html?Submit= ... 65,scale:8 you can see all the hotels in Radom, I'd recommend trying the Gryf hotel - that is the one I stayed at 2 yrs ago. But you can also call up some of those and see if they have any spots available, they should.
If you want to stay at Starachowice you can use http://www.e-podroznik.pl/ as a bus travel search site - there is quite a number of connections between those two cities, you just need to look them up. Let me know if you need help.

Alls I've done is typed in 'Hotels near Radom' on google and the nearest I've got is that one in Starachowice. I'll admit I haven't got a clue about where's best to stay, how to get to Radom and back etc. Wally, thanks for that link, I'll look into it more!wallyatscramble wrote:Kieran,
