Besides 100 years TuAF ...
Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Besides 100 years TuAF ...
Besides the airshow of the year lots of other planes could be seen in and around Izmir. For example:
Gazimier, in the mountains:
Cigli on base, outside the public area and at the maingate:
Additional pics will probably follow by other members of our team, or anyone else who has these kind of pics to share!

Great shots of some super interesting aircraft! But any reason why we now have 2 topics on the same event?

Because it would be disturbing:
1. At Cigli mountain
2. as well
3. Hospital: hit and run. Only better from the top deck ok a dubble deck coach.
4. In the park at the coast.

It was damaged beyond repair. But isn't it possible it was repaired for preservation?
If not, does anyone else know the sorry behind this F-104??

Re: Besides 100 years TuAF ...
What is your source that it was damaged (instead of destroyed) beyond repair?
I used this info: http://www.i-f-s.nl/cn/683D-8288.html
Because this accident report states that the pilot used his ejectseat and was safe the D-8288 must have had enough altitude to actually use the seat. If this info is correct the D-8288 must have been destroyed on impact. (although miracles do happen now and than... )

Criz,
Where you at the party? I was there but the light was making it impossible cause I had only a very small pocketcam. Looking at the timing it must be around 22:30 cause that is when the band start playing...
