BA128 Metz-Frescaty 26th June
Does anybody have any details or a link for the Portes Ouvertes at Metz on the 26th June?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: Metz 26th June any info?
Hi,
I was looking for the same info, i doubt if there's any airshow at all.
Not a single French team has a display scheduled for this base, googling in French on this subject also only came up with a link to the Scramble site.
So i think you can save yourself a wasted journey.

You can go to Etain-Rouvres on the same day, which is really close, but that doesn't look like much either, although the Cartouche Doré are scheduled to go there. All other French demos are at Le Bourget

Information about the P.O. was given during a base visit two months ago.
Indeed, no flying display.

I wouldn't call that a joke . Just two words given as explanation: "Operation Harmattan"..Tigerspoon wrote:It's a joke isn't it?!!?USAFE wrote:Just returned. Unfortunately no C-160G...

Some additions:
AS350 c/n 2057 was in the Gendarmerie hangar.
AS555s UU, UZ, WF plus TBM 146/XR were in the CIEH 00.341 hangar
By the way, i was under the impression that the C-160Gs had moved to Evreux.

Re: Metz 26th June any info?
A small show, but still a few nice photo opportunities!
The Gendarmerie EC.135T2+ has c/n 0797. Also noted were:
105/62-SI N.2501F (F-AZVM)
53802 Harvard (F-AZCM)
1125 SV.4A (F-BDHC)
117/XN TBM-700 (visiting in the early afternoon)
Furthermore still preserved on base is F-84F 28879/9-AU, looking splendid. Also seen were preserved F-100 42131/11-MP, N.2501 (41, far side) and stored N.262 (95, also far side). Access to the N.262 was denied, however it is used as a fire training aid together with a Fouga Magister (should be 407). H-34 SA170, that used to be preserved here, has aleady made the move to Orange, where the choppers will be based after the closure of Metz.
*EDIT* I just saw a picture in the Photoforum of the Alpha Jet, and it was coded MH on the right hand side. I wrote down the code on the left hand side, but I would expect those to be the same.... So probably a mistake from my side
I have AS.555 VG as 5399 instead of 5999, a typo? Furthermore I wrote down the Alpha Jet as coded 705-MI. No picture to confirm though, so could be wrong.A short log from today, was there 1500-1600lt:

Thanks for the addition Patrick. The Fénnec VG was 5399, you are right. I've already corrected it...
