Hi Benzin,
Not known by me, but is it a problem? There a lot of other runways with good opportunities.

What certainly has changed is this: parking in restricted areas will now surely get you a fine, police have become rather strict. No more warnings/cautions, you get fined on the spot.
The zones where you are not allowed to park have now also been greatly extended. And yes, these new parking restrictions are also very much enforced

Parking your car near the runway Polderbaan 18R has become a problem indeed. Lots of "No Parking" signs.skyair707 wrote:as i undstood on 18R you can,t stay anymore. right ?
Be prepared for a walk
The regular spotters/photographers of Amsterdam should be able to give you a more up-to-date, accurate and comprehensive advice.

Park you car at Schiphol East near the Jet Support hangar (Thermiekstraat) and walk to the Schipholweg (N323) and it's nearby cyclingpath and this is a perfect spot for landing shots during the day to 27 (when runway is in use)
Avoid standing at the Loevesteinse Randweg as there is always the risk that you are sent away by the police.
Excellent spot now in the afternoon is the panorama terrace as also all Cargo jets has to taxi around the terminal as taxi track S from 18C/18L is now closed for repairs.
Good luck

Re: Polderbaan
Hey guys,
regarding to the 18R spot I have another question. I am planning to come over to schiphol again for the first since over 2 years (why did it take me so long ... ). Eversince a lot has changed I hear with the possibilities of spotting along this runway. Just one question - alone the 18R/36L runway you had 2 spotting sides, one east (small roundabout) and one bigger parking with a 'patat kraam' at the west, which was good to accomodate about 50 parking lots maybe .. just to be sure ... is it totally forbidden to park over there in this parking that has been specially designed for this spot? because as far as I know it was made just to accomodate parking for this spot, or has it dissapeared already? Or is it still possible to park there but not anymore along the nearby road? because if neither of those spots have parking space, can anyone tell me where I DO can (don't mind a walk just wouldn't like it to be kilometers away from the spot because I could get lost ).
Thanks in advance , Yannick

Re: Polderbaan
Ok, thanks, that's already a relief
So I'm guessing I'll have to go walk/bike around the entire runway to get shots in the morning then ...

Re: Polderbaan
No, you can park in Boesingheliede village near the northern end of the runway.
