https://twitter.com/#!/luchtmachtdagen states:
Eurofighter Italian Solo Display komt, binnenkort meer deelnemers op de site
which can be translated as:
"Italian Solo Display will be coming, more participants will soon appear on the website."

So far the cables are sleeping as concerned "new participants"...
The first participants will already arrive on Monday the 12th.

Also, what are the chances of the Open Dagen getting the Czechs, as the Gripen, ALCA and Mi35 are at Sanicole the day after...

Fantastic news about the Italian Typhoon; it was a superb demonstration at Izmir! :D
The Finnish Hornet is kind of confirmed on the official website, if you look at the Finnish F-27 at the static it also says that it is the support plane for the Finnish Hornet demo.

The F-18 Demo from Finalnd and the Italian Typhoon demo are both coming to Leeuwarden. The polish AF will be there with a (2) MIG-29, SU-22 and a Casa. We are still working on the participation of the Czechs.

I myself don't know how long this will take...

But It could mean that the reds won't be flying...

There are 2 MiG-29s if I read the post from jb5 correctly. So I assume one will also be on static?

In the absence of any critical safety recommendations in the Service Inquiry’s initial report the precautionary suspension of Hawk T1 flying activity has been lifted and flying operations have been resumed.
The Red Arrows aircraft will fly back to RAF Scampton tomorrow (Friday 26 August 2011). In preparation for the resumption of public displays the Red Arrows will begin flying eight ship formation display practices starting on 30 August 2011.
Display flying by the Red Arrows team, in an eight ship formation, will recommence subject to a successful period of consolidation and approval to display.
As part of their display season preparation the Red Arrows practice displays with eight aircraft so that a display can go ahead if a pilot is unable to fly.

Reds look to be back in business before Leeuwarden takes place, at least at Jersey:
The Red Arrows are coming

The Red Arrows team will perform at the Jersey Air Display

THE Red Arrows will uphold more than 45 years of tradition and perform at this year’s Jersey International Air Display, it has been confirmed.

Organisers feared that the world-famous team would not be able to
take to the skies after the fleet was grounded following a fatal crash at the Bournemouth Air Festival earlier this month.

And despite the flight ban being lifted last week, it was still not clear whether the pilots would be prepared to fly as an eight-aircraft team following the death of Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging.

But event organiser Deputy Mike Higgins has today confirmed that the Red Arrows, who have performed in Jersey each year since they were formed in 1965, have been cleared to fly for the event next Thursday(8SEPT).

I do hope this one is still coming, but see

Crash grounds Army air fleet

Sunday August 28 2011

THE key aircraft fleet used by Ireland's elite anti-terrorist force for security operations, the Army Ranger Wing, has been grounded after a fatal crash abroad.

The AW139 helicopter, which can carry eight rangers and two gunners for operating side-mounted machine guns, is extensively used for training and operations by the rangers.

But now helicopter operators in Brazil and Australia have joined the Irish Air Corps in grounding the best-selling helicopter -- which has left 75 per cent of the Air Corp's chopper fleet unable to fly.

It may be some time before Anglo-Italian manufacturer AgustaWestland gives the all-clear for operators to again fly their twin-engined AW139 helicopters after the crash of a similar aircraft in Brazil more than a week ago.

As a result of the crash, the company issued a technical bulletin in relation to the tail rotor of the helicopter and the Air Corps has temporarily grounded its €72m fleet of six helicopters.

The Defence Forces said the suspension of operations would be lifted when all aspects of the technical bulletin were resolved to the satisfaction of the Air Corps Military Aviation Authority.
