Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Yet two more good examples of the Luftwaffe tradition of painting aircraft in sometimes truly outrageous colour schemes...
Thanks much for posting Olli!

That is some paint job. A bit too much and busy if you ask me but way better then most countries do.
I always say a boy can learn more at an airport than at any school.

Mercedes is not from the Bayern but from the neighbourstate Baden-Wurttemberg. The Bayern have BMW.attila.szabo wrote:When I think of Bavaria, I think of "Bayern", "Lederhose", "Mercedes" and lost of
Although the paintjob is very special, I still rather see them in real camouflage (green/black).

Thanks for the nice comments. We visited Lechfeld in Bavaria. And there was shelter210 where Tornado 46+29 was sleeping...attila.szabo wrote:Very nice photo's indeed Olli , but has this "dragon" any meaning or purposeOlli J. wrote:A short visit in beautiful Bavaria. Tornado 46+29

The coloursheme is for the 35 years anniversary of the Monster Staffel of JaboG32. I don't see any pilots with Beer or Lederhosen there, but we were driving in a Mercedes...

Like the pics, but apparently 'less is more' cannot be translated into German

Okay, I also would rather personally see operationally looking "Plain Jane's" as well instead of these "kermisbakken/Fun Fair aircraft", but if the Germans make an effort in painting a special colour scheme, they REALLY DO make an effort!

Although I prefer the normal colorscheme, I think the "New Monster" is much, much better than the "Old Lego" this aircraft was before this...

Good to see they still do funny things with the (few and fewer) remaining Torren.
