Good afternoon,
In my last Autum holiday we went to LUX for main but took with us MST,LGG and BRU as well
weather was pretty good but on LUX on the day we needed some good weather it was horrible
anyway I enjoyed my time out for the days and caught some nice fish
we started the day at 09:30 at LGG, sadly only 2 movements...

in the afternoon from LGG we went to MST to catch the ATP but we got away with a nice bonus
3.nice Dash 8, all the way from New Zealand

after a night in the ETAP hotel we went to LGG again at 09:00
6. haven't seen A DC-10 since 2008, so nice to see this one as a change!

some late afternoon shots when we just arrived at LUX from LGG

started off early at 08:00 while it was still -3

on our last morning in LUX it was verry foggy and this was a bad timing because
both 747-8F's were coming in around 10:30

on our way home we stopped at BRU

also at LUX we made some night shots from a great spot with a nice overview on the Cargo platform... so here my nightshots
1st night at LUX....

67. and a night shot of the 747-8F sadly there was a building to the left so position was not ideal
and the 2nd night at LUX....

this was only the 2nd time making night shots so any tips,tricks and comments for those are always helpfull

For the Atlas 747, Picture 66 I used the following:
F/16
Exposure 13 sec
ISO 100
and the Cargolux 747-400F... Picture 71
F/8
Exposure 3,2 sec
ISO 100
Hope this helps to awnser your question...
mainly I just put it on TV and adjusted the shutter time... that's the only thing I really did
since it was only my second time making night shots... so still a lot to learn about that..

The nightshots worked out nicely, that's very good to see!
@ Dennis.
The higher the F-value in your photo, the more of this ''star effect'' will get in your photo. I believe F14 is the best setting for such effect.
