I'm not a pilot, but it looks like a very well controled landing.
Very impressive, IMHO.

The pilots performed a great job. I guess this kind of landing ruines the airframe??! Would this be a potential W/O? One of the older 767?

This is indeed a total W/O.

Re: lot b767 makes bellylanding at Warsaw
Given the conditions/duration of the slide, a financial W/O is very likely as the lower (internal) fuselage structure has been damaged and repairs will be as expensive as a replacing frame. The sparks during the slide came from the engine cowlings and aft engine parts/ exhaust cone.

Common sense I guess . The costs for repairs will normally be much higher, then aquiring a second hand replacing frame.evhest wrote:And you know this how...?B767-300ER wrote: This is indeed a total W/O.

So, is it ,,indeed a total w/o'' or ,,very likely'' a w/o?
I'm guessing it is speculation in both cases although brought as fact.

If it was a Fokker 100, it would be repaired for sure... I am not sure about the 767, so no speculations from my side... Let's wait for the outcome of the investigations.
