Not much chances this year to do aviation photography, so my highlights are from Cambrai and Leeuwarden.

Hello @all,
after my come-back to the hobby "planespotting" in the middle of 2010 i must say that 2011 was a good year for me. Now i wanna present you my Top 10 of 2011 and i would beginning with Nr. 10 and goes up to Nr.1

10. Royal Air Force / Lookheed L-1011-385 TriStar / ZD951 / 10.04.2011 / HAJ
Nice to see a beauty like this because the era of the treeholders goes to end in the next years.


9. Qatar Cargo / Boeing 777-FDZ / A7-BFA / 15.01.2011 / HAJ
Only 30min with sun on this day and in this time my favourite colour sheme arrive @ HAJ.

Nr. 7-5 are some shots of the highlight 2011 in HAJ, the "St.Petersburg-Dialog" brings some nice and classic visitors from Russia to Hannover. Nice to see some of these beauties in Western Europe.

Our first picture on this trip. Thanks to by friend Sebastian for this nice trip.


and now i wanna show you my favourite picture of the year 2011. This wouldn`t be an aircraft, it would be a memorial. For me it was a special moment to stay there. 11 years, 2 month and 1 day before on this place the Air France Concorde F-BTSC crashed after departure on Paris Charles de gaulle at this place where i was standing. This incident brings the end of the era of this Supersonicjet.

Here is my contribution. Been to Japan this year so it's all Japan for me.
The highlights over there where unmistakenly Hyakuri and Atsugi.

High quality selections this year! Well done all!! It is a pleasure to go through the photos so far.

Although for me 2011 was not a really photo-intensive year it was definitely filled with highlights!
Here is my top 10 of 2011:

The highlight of the year was for sure our trip to Japan in May!
#1 The Phantoms of Hyakuri, this time wet ones!


#2 Sunset at Akeno was just an unforgetable moment


#3 Which was followed by night flying activities


#4 Line up of Japanese F15s at Nyutubaru, excellent photo opportunities!


Second moment of the year was when the year just started: the 4th of January when the slopes at Gilze-Rijen were actively used by all based types.
#5 Apache attacking the spotters under a nice winter sun


Thirdly, the airshow at Turku, Finland makes it into the top 10 with a few too. Just awesome (bad)weather and unique aircraft!
#6 Very good performance by the Finnish Border Guard helos


#7 The Midnight Hawks in nice contrasts


#8 A dripping wet Finnish Hornet


Then another amazing moment was sun rise at Stockholm-Bromma airport the end of January
#9 Amazing colours during sun rise


The last cool moment was during a Swedish airshow at Örebro Airport during late summer.
#10 This Il76 was part of the static and departed half-way the show but not before performing an amazing low pass!
