AMARG & Davis-Monthan, AZ (KDMA/DMA) - MIL 2010
Won't bother with long lists. Along Kolb road an impressive number of C-130s (mainly USAF E models, the 5 Norwegians, early US Navy models) are lined up. From pictures I count at least 111 different examples.
The bus tour features celebrity row, but part of the storage is also covered and on both sides the arrival ramp can be viewed as well.
Recent arrivals included:
uncoded F16s: 85-483 (AAFG0643), 86-233 (AAFG0646), 85-565, 85-548 (AAFG0644), 86-208, 86-211
LF F16s; 83-145, (wh/bl), ??-154 (ye)
F15: 78-527 Florida ANG
Two silver C130s were either prepared for active duty, or for storage. They carried last four's: 6703, 3288. Anyone for identity and origin?

AMARG FOI listings April 2010
Hi all,
Although I have the Freedom of Information list for the AMARG inventory for 12th March 2010, I need the list for April. We spent three days round AMARG 2-4th April and the sole way to identify aircraft from our photographs are knowing what was there.
I would be very grateful if anyone could send me this list as a PM or direct.

goal to track down all aircraft that ever have been processed through MASDC/AMARC and AMARG.
The job is much complexer than we orginally thought because much of the information is still to be retrieved especially that of pre
computer time era. Having been at MASDC/AMARC numerous times we have been able so far to track quite a lot of aircraft but we wonder what our fellow enthusiasts might have been throughout the years and we would like to ask if there's anybody out-there that has any reports for 1965 up till the present day regarding MASDC/AMARC/AMARG and the Scrapyards , any bit of information will help make our project a success.
Back in the day we didn't right down the marking on the aircraft present so a lot is still to be covered. The are some great reference
work already on the market like MASDC series but we want to expand the information covered by including i.e. construction numbers , full
rundown of history of the aircraft when it left the Yard i.e FMS or MAP and ultimate where-abouts.
Everything is presently in a database and spreadsheet and we will publish it on our website with full credits when we feel we have
reached a point it will be worth publishing , it will be a project never finished that much has been clear to us.

AMARC
Was at AMARC and found several new airframes that no longer are wearing the Production Code Numbers (PCN)'s that identified the aircraft by sequence in the AMARC books. Word on the street has been that the 'new' management of AMARC has taken a different approach to managing the massive amount of aircraft's stored in various stages at AMARC. Many aircraft that many of us considered life-timers at AMARC have recently been scrapped or flown-out of AMARC. One example of this are the many C-123K's that where , during a trip to AMARC yesterday they are no where to be found anymore and are broken-up or flown out to some-where else.
Does anyone know exactly the story behind the new way the aircraft at being stored at AMARC since the PCN are not applied on some of the aircraft that are clearly already inducted into AMARC.
A good example is 85-1442 F-16C , no PCN , simply coded F-16C 85-1442 (seen Oct 30 , 2010) 'LOBOS' South Dakota.
Any suggestions would be welcome and very much appreciated.

Don't know the exact story, but this was recently announced on MSF. From now on new arrivals won't get a parking code anymore, but will be marked with the original serial. Inmates already present won't get a new code by the way.Does anyone know exactly the story behind the new way the aircraft at being stored at AMARC since the PCN are not applied on some of the aircraft that are clearly already inducted into AMARC.

A small question.
On the northern side of the big apron at Davis-Monthan AFB, near Sunglow rd (Google maps) are two i/a A-10s (green c/s) anyone for the ID of these two?

Didn´t check GE, but if you are refering to the two near the Snowbirds sun sheds, than these should be
75-0268 & 75-0282. Noted as such last Feb/March.

Following the F-4 taken from storage I did some research on your birds:
RF-4C 67-0449/BA for 82nd ATRS
Is this one correctly read? This is not an ex Bergstrom a/c but ex 196th RS CA ANG. It was located before in area 24 which is the reclamation area. So it is unlikely these a/c will revert to flight. I think this is the 67-0448 which is an ex BA a/c and was last seen in one of MS bays in Mar2010.
RF-4C 68-0559/BA for 82nd ATRS
The 68-0559 was an Zweibrucken a/c and crashed 21sep71. This bird could be 68-0552 or 68-0553 (grey cs). 68-0553 was seen flying in Jul09.
RF-4C 72-0148/BA for 82nd ATRS
72-0148 was w/o 02mar78 so this one could be either 72-0149 which is BA a/c and was seen at the flightlines in Mar10 and was seen at Tyndall on March 2011. Or this could be 72-0145 (grey cs) which was also seen on the flightlines Davis Montan in Sep10.

RF-4C 67-0448/BA "FP666" was seen on a testflight late March 2011, as was 69-0379/BA RF-4C “FP675”.

Checked my pictures of the bustour.
Indeed it should be 67-0448 instead of 449 and 68-558 should be 68-0552/BA
72-0148 can't be right so indeed should be 72-0149.
Also another addition is 67-0443.
