You open it with Photoshop, and then the saved ones like jpg
Re: Wittmund (ETNT) - 2012 MIL
I copy-pasted the form in a Word-document. Should do as well I guess.

You don't have to do it the hard way anymore.
Luftwaffe changed it into a Word-doc.
So easier than Pdf.
It now is just a fill-in form.

We want to visit Wittmund on 8th of may en-rout to Denmark.
1. Where can I find these Wittmund NOTAM's ?
2. Has anybody information about this temporary closure of Wittmund ?
3. Ifso where will the Phantoms fly from (which airfield)? or perhaps not at all...
Thnx if there's any info about this

I'm sorry man, I know nothing more than before I asked the question. I'm hoping for someone with this info as well.attila.szabo wrote:geert99 wrote:I heard that Wittmund will be closed for a few weeks in May for repairs. Is that true? Re: Wittmund (ETNT) - 2012 MIL
Currently there are no 'interesting' NOTAMs for Wittmund.
Re: Wittmund (ETNT) - 2012 MIL
NOTAM can be found here: https://pilotweb.nas.faa.gov/PilotWeb/
Enter the location (ICAO-code); ETNT in this case and then press 'View NOTAMs'
There is no info on a possible temporary shut down of Wittmund in May.
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Wittmund (ETNT) - 2012 MIL
After Leeuwarden, we decided to go to Wittmund for some Phantoms.
This week is/was night flying, so only 5 Phantoms during the afternoon.
Too bad that we didn't know this, so when we got to the hotel for the night, another 5 or so Phantoms took off.
18/4 15:00-17:30:
38+02 F-4F JG71
38+10 F-4F JG71
38+29 F-4F JG71
38+48 F-4F JG71
38+58 F-4F JG71
31+22 Eurofighter JG73
19/4 9:00-17:30:
N431FS A-4N BAE
N434FS A-4N BAE
N268WL A-4N BAE either made a high speed run or aborted takeoff
37+01 F-4F JG71
37+96 F-4F JG71 Last Flight --> to Jever
38+01 F-4F JG71
38+24 F-4F JG71
38+28 F-4F JG71 Special scheme. Came back late morning from Manching
38+29 F-4F JG71
38+48 F-4F JG71
3.+.. F-4F JG71 Being towed. Would be great if any of the English spotters read this one!
37+96 took off without any tanks and after wondering if it was a test flight for a few minutes, we saw it going towards Jever, where it made a couple of overshoots/touch and go's before landing for the very last time. Weird to witness the last flight of a fighter. As a Bordeaux-spotter, I usually see it the other way round...
Regards,
Jan
Edit: I changed the dates, it was April 18th and 19th.

Re: Wittmund (ETNT) - 2012 MIL
Seen today during a visit on-base:
Morning wave (t/o 10:00-10:15)
38+02
38+33
38+48
QRA (t/o 10:05)
38+24
38+53
Afternoon wave (t/o 14:30-14:45)
37+48
38+02
38+33
Seen elsewhere (non-flying):
37+01, 37+22, 38+37, 38+62
Visitor
07 C-27J Lithuanian AF
Only 23 F-4F's are currently airworthy and this number will continue dwindle down as June 2013 comes closer. Although the aircraft are nearly 40 years old, flying activity is limited by aircrew available (only 16 crews still flying) rather than aircraft availability. A normal day should see about four aircraft flying two waves and the QRA going out as well. You could be lucky to score as 'many' as 5-6 in a wave though.. The good times are forever over!
