RDAF Air Show Aalborg 10 June

Hallo everyone,

I Have a question about the airshow in Aalborg, what aircraft can i aspect at this airshow?
and i have heard from somebody there is flying in Denmark a F-104 starfighter and a Saab 35 Draken, and is this both real?

I hope some one can answer one of both questions.

No. Just curious how long it will take till this hoax turns up again. It was quiet for some time...

NO NON MIL AFTERBURNERS IN DANISH AIRSPACE by law!

There is a Draken that used to be flying operated by civillians but they are not allowed to do that anymore for a number of years now, due to that mentioned law. AFAIK only the Swedish Air Force Historical Flight has a Draken capable to fly. The only F-104 in Europe that MIGHT return to the air is under restoration in Norway (Bodo IIRC).

First display team that has confirmed participation is Krila Oluje/Wings of Storm.

The website will be updated at the end of February (including an English version). Feedback on invitations sent for static and flying display is expected by March.

Two themes apply:
“Special Operation Forces (SOF)” (primarily towards Air SOF)
“the 100 year anniversary for military flying in Denmark”

The opening hours are 1000 – 1600 (doors might open at 0900 all depending on traffic)

Here some small info about were we stand during the spottersday prior the airshow on Sunday that I ask to the organisation team.

The plan is to have you placed on the south side of the runway for the last part of the day (after the static display/spare aircraft tour).

I can assure you that I and my small planning team is fully aware of most wishes spotters have. Two of us have experience from both Danish and foreign air shows and spotter events.

Yesterday I received this e-mail from the organisation.

Hello spotters,

Here is a small update regarding the Spotters' day 2012 at Air Transport Wing Aalborg.

We now have more than 200 applicants. This means that some are on a waiting list while others have been rejected.
Since you have now received this email your name is on the list of participants.

You will receive at least one more email, which will contain your unique participant number (your entry pass) as well as practical information.
Until then we will work on giving you the best photo opportunities on the Spotters' Day. Our plan is still to be on the south side of the runway during flying rehearsal.
