Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Spottersday Wittmund June 5 2012, a little different
A great spottersday it turned out to be at Wittmund. 12 F-4F all in very good photo conditions. Nothing was too much, and special for the Dutch, the main color today was Orange. From the people who gave directions to a truck in total Orange. Guys, you made us feel very welcome today.

just one for now..
Re: Spottersday Wittmund June 5 2012, a little different
If i had started a topic regarding my experience today, i also had used the word different
My day was also kind of different. I had the opportunity to get to Wittmund by plane. And it was not an ordinary plane it was a Do-27A1 build in 1957, second oldest flying Do-27
So i guess some of my pictures are also a little different
Our transportation for today
Wittmund and an A-4 approaching, we had to wait
Not a perfect picture, but maybe there is someone in who also reads here
Nice parking spot
He came, after he had shut down his A-4, direct to our Do-27 an was quite curious
I think i saw him also at the last Spotterday. And he today also gave the soldiers instructions how to place the F-4
Spotterday from above
The Last one, kind of an overview
Some (61) more pictures you can find here

On a side-note: Dornier Do-27 D-EGFR has a non-standard rather long-ish exhaust fitted below the fuselage...

The Nikon D800
My new D800 camera body just arrived before the spottersday at Wittmund.
A nice opportunity to try-out those 36.8 Megapixels !
1/800 sec, f6.3, ISO 100, 24-70mm f2.8 @ 40mm, size 77.7Mb (RAW), no tripod was used
And here are three 100% crop images from that same picture...
