This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. Nice pictures but, shutterspeed 1\1250s is not so good for the propblur.

Nice shots with interesting backgrounds. If you visited the church this morning I am sure you'll get sun today!

To me these are airshow freezing instead of airshow action. Go along with changing times I would say Peter.

Don't get it. I like the pics a lot because they seem to focus on the concentrated looks of the pilots! Look at the B-17 skipper, the Mustang-driver, the glider-pilot... Makes a nice change from the omni-present propblur-hype imho.....To me these are airshow freezing instead of airshow action. Go along with changing times I would say Peter.

Ah Shoreham, good memmories. Nice pictures Peter.
If you are going to bash someone's photo's here, please do it in understandable English. Google translate is often overrated. To me these are airshow freezing instead of airshow action. Go along with changing times I would say Peter.

Thanks for your kind words Homer, unfortunately, they do not impress at all.
To me Peter is a very well known photographer from whom one might expect a little more then freezing props at 1/1250. It does not represent the action of which I think he is very well capable.
Do note that this forum is open for all comments. If you post, there could also be comments that are not to the liking of all. Sorry!

Nice subject isolation from background with that hefty lens of yours, Peter. L&H are great too.
My request for small changes would be a little more subtle copyright bar; this one does distract (me) somewhat.
Thanks for sharing!

P.S. To all concerned: Rule C.8 - Rule C.8 - Rule C.8 - Rule C.8 - Rule C.8 - Rule C.8 - Rule C.8 - Rule C.8
This does not concern photo feedback. It does however concern certain types of 'feedback feedback'...

Re: Shoreham Airshow @ cloudy saturday 1st of Sep [LAST POST
Having 500 mm or more, with cloudy conditions, i can imagine Peter uses 1/1250. There is more chance to have a sharp picture, having a lower shutterspeed. Next to that, having a slower shutterspeed creates more propblur, but also more chance to have unsharp pictures. So it's a dilemma or in other words you have to find an balance. In this case Peter's choice was a faster shutterspeed.
Who knows he has pictures with a lower shutterspeed? But maybe these are out of focus so not worth posting.
But i have to agree with CJ, i am also more a fan of some propblur, but i have to say, these pictures are from a different perspective, razor sharp, great colors, only some more propblur could make it more perfect.
Just like CJ mentions, this is a public forum, and by showing your pictures here, you give people the opportunity to react on your pictures. Most of the time this is positive and sometimes critical. Concerning the latter one, it is the way you put things how things are interpreted.

Well Peter,
I always like the sharpness of your pics, although not always like the composition... I still find them very good pictures... To bad i wont see them here bit thank god for Facebook...
Because im always gonna be an outsider anyway (pentax gear and all) i personally don't care less about what people think about my pictures... Criticism about editing pictures is always welcome and helpfull... It's your eye that counts while making the picture and thats a thing no one has the same of

Very nice shots Peter. Thanks for sharing.
In this shot I like the focus on the pilots. Aviation is not always only aircraft...
