I passed the former airbase of Memmingen last weekend, were this streak is still present.

The aircraft is surrounded by fences, so that it will not be demiloished by vandals.

I took this Belgian Thunderstreak at Chièvres in 1987 while it was guarding the gate...

Does somebody have the origional pictures of the F-84F P-226? Not the one in the Museum please, it has been repainted.
I'll need the for scale documentation of our 1:5 RC scale model .

Hi Michel !

That's nice ! I like that picture of yours !
Of course it is not a real Thunderstreak in-flight , but it certainly looks like one ! The vertical tail-section seems to me a little bit short in relation to the exhaust , but that is pea-nuts ! Anyway ,well done !
I think you prefer a colour -photo of P-226 during its operational days and this is the only one I can find in my collection.
Perhaps it will be of some use to you.

Most of the pictures that I took during the Sixties and Seventies were still in Black & White. Here is an example of P-226 during landing at Eindhoven-Welschap.
