7FL is geen 777 maar "FL" is een subcode die de SV voor 747 freighters gebruikt, de code geeft de operator aan, kan dus bijv. Air Atlanta of Veteran zijn.

Etihad Cargo is increasing the number of weekly flights from 2 to 3 with a new flight operating in/out of AMS on day 5.
From the 1st of February Etihad will switch their ops also from World MD11F and Atlas 747-400F to own B777-200F's on all flights, schedule as below:

The 788 operations of United from Houston to Amsterdam and back will continue till the 29th of march 2013. After that no news about replacemensts of this type on this route. This all according to the press-release of United about the 788 operations in the coming period.

The 788 has been scheduled from the beginning until 29MAR2013 and would first be replaced by a B764 afterwards, which has been altered to a 2-class B76W, so a replacement type has been set.

United will have no 787s left to operate IAH-AMS after 29MAR2013, as their frames will be busy operating the following routes:
LAX-NRT
LAX-PVG
IAH-LOS
DEN-NRT
IAH-DEN (to rotate aircraft trough the system > IAH-LOS-IAH-DEN-NRT-DEN-IAH)

News is coming in that IB has announced complete withdrawal of all services on MAD-AMS, MAD-TXL & MAD-ARN starting 10 January 2013 in order to pressure unions in Spain to accept IBexpress.

As yet the reservation systems show double flight listings on AMS-MAD for Jan. 2013. In case IB leaves AMS completely we can expect other airlines to fill the void:

Reservations are currently not possible beyond November 11 on both the Iberia and Express website's. If Iberia would withdraw from the AMS marktet, this would present an opportunity for Air Europa to grow, also for feed to their long-haul network. The article also mentiones attempts are being made to destroy the home network of Iberia to feed long-haul flights in favor of British Airways. Suspending routes like AMS will certainly help IAGs cause . I hope the conflict will be resolved soon so we can keep on enjoying Iberia birds at AMS, with or without their nice orange/yellow stripes.

From the summer 2013 topic:

In the forthcoming schedule update for the weekend of 03NOV12, UNITED is postponing planned Boeing 787-8 operation on Houston – Amsterdam service. The Star Alliance previously to operate this route as first International route with Boeing 787 from 04DEC12, however this is being postponed until 24FEB13.

From 04DEC12 to 23FEB13 (05DEC12 to 24FEB13 from AMS), service continues to be operated by Boeing 767-400ER. Schedule change to reflect the aircraft reassignment on this route will appear in the GDS as early as Friday (02NOV12) 2100 Eastern Time.

As a result of the reassignment, Los Angeles – Tokyo Narita is now scheduled to be the first UA International route operated by Boeing 787
