Hopefully the B788 will operate IAH-AMS longer than one month, but probably not as the five frames will be busy doing other international routes. We will know more next night, as schedules will be uploaded 21:00 hours Eastern Time according to the article.

The B788 will now operate AMS-IAH daily from 25FEB-30MAR only. I am curious as well if they will operate the route for such a short period at all.

Together with the new 3x/daily service from RTM-LHR, British Airways has also released a new schedule for LHR-AMS-LHR this Winter 2012/1013. The airline plans to raise frequency to 9x/day on Monday & Wednesday only:

BA has made further changes to its Winter Schedule 2012/2013, increasing the weekly frequency with one more Thu flight. The airline now plans to operate LHR-AMS-LHR 9x/day on Monday, Wednesday & Thursday with a new evening departure. Please note that on Wed & Thu there are two evening departures just 25 mins apart.

For Summer 2013 there are currently no IBERIA services planned to AMS, so SKYTEAM's KLM & Air Europa will have a monopoly as easyJet has also withdrawn from the route MAD-AMS vv.

China Airlines have moved back the introduction of the A343 to 14JAN2013 ex-AMS. This means the final B744 flight will now be on the 13th, as the A343 will continue daily operations in summer 2013.
