The new American Airlines livery
The shining metal is no more...
Re: The new American Airlines livery
Very nice! And, this might just give less annoying reflections while photographing ground-to-air...

Re: The new American Airlines livery
Is this really the new livery? I'd never think they'd 'kill' the AA-logo like that.
I actually like the polished look AA currently has, the light reflects nicely.

And all planes will be readable again. Boy, have I missed a bunch of AA's already due to their shiny fuselage. I liked the looks, but this isn't so bad either.pjotrtje wrote:Very nice! And, this might just give less annoying reflections while photographing ground-to-air...

First aircraft in new colors:

Not a bad colorship, I actually like it. however, I still prefer the gorgeous previous scheme.
For those who have trouble with reading the registration, AA aircrafts also have a code on the nose gear (e.g. 7AF). If you look this code up in a fleet list or whatsoever you'll be able to find the beloning registration.

Have you ever tried reading that on a Mad Dog, through a hotel window from a mile away?Boudewijn van Oirschot wrote:For those who have trouble with reading the registration, AA aircrafts also have a code on the nose gear (e.g. 7AF). MadDogs are even harder indeed! Fortunately I have always been able to read them off, and I spot next to the runway iso a hotel room :-pehusmann wrote:Have you ever tried reading that on a Mad Dog, through a hotel window from a mile away?Boudewijn van Oirschot wrote:For those who have trouble with reading the registration, AA aircrafts also have a code on the nose gear (e.g. 7AF). Re: The new American Airlines livery
Horrible, looks like some 'no name' airline from some small South American country.
Can not believe they completely departed from the AA logo. Would have thought they would atleast give that a new image.

I always say a boy can learn more at an airport than at any school.

If you look at the logo in the first post, I think the eagle is supposed to be the thing to the right of the word "Airlines". But to me it doesn't really look like oneB767-300ER wrote:Where is the "adelaar"?
